Md. Ishaque Faruquee
A dynamic and results-driven Communication & Advocacy Specialist, PR Expert, Journalist, and Creative Content Professional with over 18 years of experience across journalism, development communication, advocacy, multimedia production, and project management. He has a strong track record of designing and leading strategic communication initiatives focused on SRHR, gender justice, climate change, community resilience, and social inclusion while working with international NGOs, media organizations, and development institutions . Currently serving as Director – Brand & Business Development at PSDI Consultancy, he leads brand visibility, partnerships, media relations, and multimedia content production for development organizations. Previously, as Feature Editor at Daily Rupali Bangladesh, he managed editorial strategy and documentary-based campaigns. During his impactful role at Simavi (2022–2024), he managed national-level advocacy communications on SRHR, co-created youth-led visual storytelling, designed creative activism methods, and strengthened engagement with 11 partner organizations across Bangladesh. Across roles including Advocacy Coordinator at ASD, Head of Communication & Research at Green Savers, and District Officer under the Social Development Foundation (SDF), he led awareness campaigns, volunteer management, development documentation, exhibitions, and stakeholder collaboration at national and grassroots levels. His journalism career spans radio, TV, and print — including Independent TV, Radio Dhoni, Look@Me Magazine, Daily Bhorer Kagoj, and others — strengthening his expertise in newsroom leadership, feature writing, broadcast storytelling, and multimedia production. Academically, he holds a Master’s in English from Jagannath University. He is also a published author, columnist, module developer, trainer, and theatre practitioner with strong communication, hosting, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
